We had reserved our table for dinner at this restaurant in Cadillac and looked forward to spending our evening with our extended family. The child menu was disappointing, the chicken nuggets were okay but the spaghetti served with them were dry, no sauce, no olive oil nor Parmesan cheese. Only blob of ketchup on the side. Both child menu’s came much earlier than the rest. What was most troublesome was the unpleasant experience we had with a man, who seemed to be the owner or in charge of the restaurant. He had scolded a family member for coming to our dinner table, with his beer which he had initially ordered and paid for at the terrace. He was told that this was illegal at his restaurant. We didn’t understand what was illegal about taking his drink to the same restaurant dinner table inside. We found it odd but didn’t make a fuss. After the children had long finished to eat, our burgers came. With the order we were asked about how we wanted the meat to be cooked, but they all came completely raw (almost tartare in the bun). When I asked the waitress to have the meat cooked, she obliged with no issues. The shocking experience was at the register when settling the dinner bill with the man who appeared to be in charge. I didn’t complain about the poor food experience, but when he was about to hand me the bill, he reacted with a clearly surprised expression, shaking his head with disapproval. So I asked him if there was an issue at all and he responded he was was surprised with the bill for 3 hours spent at his restaurant, meaning we didn’t spend enough for staying what was really 2 hours and 15 minutes at the table (it took a long time to have the rest of our dinner). This was incredibly rude and unprofessional really. I do not recommend this restaurant; our visit was a family jovial dinner tainted by low quality food and uncalled for rudeness. The waitress was pleasant though. I am still baffled about the reasons behind the man’s rudeness (most...
Read moreNever going back. We were visiting family and friends who live in the area. The owner is clearly British but only spoke French to us even though we were clearly English speakers. We asked if we could order a glass of wine around 18:30 and he replied very rudely “this is not a bar, it’s a restaurant”. We asked if we could order food to which he replied very rudely again “of course not, the kitchen is not opened, IT’S FRANCE”. We counted to ten and ordered some soft drinks. When we could finally order food and drinks, he made remarks that made us feel stupid for asking what grapes certain wines were made with. The description of the wines were completely only in French and we wanted to know better. Overall, he seemed like he hated his job and therefore very very rude to the customers. He should not be working in hospitality. We have never ever been treated so rudely ever in our whole lives. And we will definitely never go back to this place. There are other restaurants that are much more friendlier then this one...
