Le Bar à Manger — Restaurant in Les Sables-d'Olonne

My go to bar, I was amazed to read some of the comments about this bar, we have visited many many times over the years during our stays in Sab, we have always been greated with a bonjour etc. if the owners posted some reviews of their customers they could justifiably have been pretty negative about their customers. Having sat and enjoyed their company and having many a short conversation with them, I've witnessed plenty of entitled English people thinking their few cents of profit the owners have earned from their order mean that finger snapping for instant attention, moaning about the time it takes to be served etc. is justification for leaving a bad review. French bar etiquette is different to UK pubs, cafes, some English people really know how to be objectionable when abroad, chill relax...

Empty terrass or almost as usual... good spot to sit and work on my computer? Certainly not... Bad service, arrogant ugly waitress told me to told me to leave unless i would have another drink after 1 h or so......12 tables, 4 occupied including mine...what is the point? I now understand why its always empty...they just like it empty...in case a tourist bus comes hahaha Avoid this place as...

On n'y va pas pour y boire bon ou bien mais si on pousse la porte c'est pour participer à l'ambiance Sablaise grâce aux joyeux drilles qui officient devant le zinc. C'est un café pur jus à la déco intact-recomposée-vintage où le verre de rosé rapportera plus d'engouement de la part des locaux qu'un petit noir...
