Happy Rock — Restaurant in Lesparre-Médoc

This rating refers just to the doorman who worked in the evening of Friday, 31st of August - I can't rate anything else as he made me and my friends leave before ordering anything. In my whole life I have never met a restaurant employee as unfriendly and aggressive as the one in the "Happy Rock". After a day of surfing, me and some friends stopped by the bar to have a drink together. The first two of our group had already received their drinks while the rest was still looking through the card. It seems that in the eyes of the doorman we weren't quick enough with our order as he approached our table and told us aggressively that we had to order. While doing so, he pulled away a chair one of our friends had laid her broken leg on, telling her that it's not allowed to sit like that. When another girl from our group defended her (needless to say that her leg hurt), he came super close to the girl's face and told her to shut up. This was the moment we decided to leave - without a drink . I hope the owner of the "Happy Rock" gets to see this rating - especially, since other people who heard our story confirmed the doorman's unbearable behavior. Some people told us that he is an alcoholic, what could explain, but by no means excuse his behavior. There may only be two or three other bars/restaurants in Carcans Plage, but I recommend going there in order to stay away from the "Happy Rock". I will definitely come back to surf, but you will rather see me dying of thirst than entering...

Sweet and nice bar, the drinks are fairly priced and really good, but the owner is crazy.

One night he grabbed two 17 year old boys , pushed them out of the bar and slapped them for no reason. Later on he got a bottle of the bar and ran after the boys. He was obviously drunk. What’s wrong with him?

Never again. No recommendation. Try different bars...

Meidet diesen Ort! Unbedingt!!!! Mein Sohn wurde gestern Abend zusammen mit seinem Kumpel, vom ganz offensichtlich alkoholisierten Besitzer der Bar, geschlagen, an den Haaren aus der Bar gezerrt, bedroht und beschimpft. Mein Sohn und sein Kumpel sind noch immer völlig geschockt, da dieser Angriff aus heiterem Himmel und völlig aus der Luft gegriffen kam, vermutlich weil sie ihre Bestellung nicht schnell genug aufgaben. Kurze Zeit später wurden sie noch von ihm mit einer Flasche verfolgt. Niemand half den Jungs, außer ein nettes junges Paar, die meinem Sohn die Flipflops aus der Bar holten, die aufgrund des Gerangels in der Bar geblieben sind. Wie kann eine Person mit so vielen schlimmen Rezessionen noch eine Bar betreiben???!!! Das war ja kein Einzelfall! Ich hoffe sehr, dass das hier viele Menschen lesen, um vorgewarnt zu sein und diesen Ort lieber meiden! Ein Stern ist...
