Saw the reviews as a top rated restaurant in Lille and walked 45 mins from the centre of town to get there.
Was it worth the walk, on balance yes, the restaurant is quite plain but comfortable, it is based in a suburb of Lille, not really Lille central. The downside of Lille is that there are really quite few taxis available so it’s a long walk from town!
The menu is quite small but the good quality was good, although some dishes had limited availability, understandable in a small neighbourhood restaurant.
Food and wine were sensibly priced and all of the dishes delivered well, my lamb was slightly overdone but tasty. The highlights of the meal were the amuse bouches and the ice cream.
Service was excellent with a welcoming and English speaking host. Well worth a try, but book a taxi from town...

Une excellente adresse sur Lille pour partager un dîner en amoureux, un repas en famille, entre amis ou entre collègues ? Ne cherchez plus, l'endroit est tout trouvé et il s'appelle "M'eating" !
Tenu par Pierre qui s'occupe également de la cuisine, ce restaurant fut une excellente découverte et nous y sommes retournés entre amis pour la 2ème fois !
La devanture est sobre mais une fois à l'intérieur, place à un accueil chaleureux à l'image du lieu et de la décoration.
Les préparations sont d'une grande qualité pour un rapport qualité/prix excellent.
De l'entrée au dessert nous nous sommes tous régalés ! Important à préciser : absolument TOUT est fait maison et vous en serez témoins puisque la cuisine est ouverte ce qui apporte une convivialité supplémentaire car Pierre est une personne extrêmement sympathique en plus d'être un bosseur, exactement comme Marie, sa jeune serveuse.
Enfin, la carte change très régulièrement et tout est préparé à base de produits frais.
