Had dinner here during a recent trip to Lyon. The restaurant is in a relatively quiet and residential area of Lyon, easy to reach and specializing in Middle-Eastern grill dishes. I went for the menu du chef, with a starter, main and dessert. For starter, I had moutabal, which was nice and tasty but quite a big portion and a bit samey after a while. Also the bread that came with it could have been more succulent and I’ve had better bread in other restaurants of the same style. For the main, I went for the kefte, which was certainly the highlight. The meat was tender, juicy and well seasoned. The rice was very good too. If anything, the portion could have been slightly bigger. For the dessert, I had the baklava. They were perfectly fine, a bit less rich in flavor than others I’ve had though. Overall a tasty meal and certainly recommended for the fair price but with some room for improvement. Service is good...

Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience, despite the beautiful presentation of the meals, the quality of the meal was not up to the level.
Except for the Baba ghanouj, the food—from hommos to chich taouk to kefta brochettes—has nothing to do with the genuine Syrian/Mediterranean cuisine.
