A mom and pop spit run by the sweetest couple. My French is very minimal and the owners really made a lot of effort to ensure I understood the menu. They had the best avocados I have ever eaten in salad in my life here. Their andouillette sausage and raspberry cake were members of the clean plate club. I did not leave a simple crumb it was just that good. And the owners are so nice. Reminds me of my grandparents, such warm people. The husband owner paints the pieces hanging on the walls. And the wife made the most heart felt attempt to communicate via Google translate to make sure I didn't miss any must see sights in lyon. I would come back to this city just to visit the owners of this restaurant. I usually don't write reviews, but as you can see I am very passionate about this place and I want people to know this is a must visit spot if...

Wow!! What a gem this place is! Was on Lyon for work and I had only heard good things of the lyonnaise food and this place truly delivered. We were waited by the owner, the most amicable and kind man. He walked us through the menu and explained a lot of the dishes for us non-french speakers. The place is basically a house, which makes it even nicer.

I went for the menu of the day, which included a starter, a main and a dessert. As a starter I was recommended to try the melon with porto wine in it. I was a bit taken aback but wow, this combination is incredible, even for me who doesn't love wine. It was so good. Then I tried the meat with bake potatoes and ratatouille. This was such a bunch of favlour everywhere! It was so tasty and well done. Then for dessert, I went for the peach tart. It was perfect!

I paid €22 for...

This place gives nothing away from the outside, looking quiet and not fancy. The real magic happens inside. You are immediately in a quaint, vintage space with eclectic artwork on the walls and a wonderful welcome from the owner and chef. We enjoyed our meal immensely...the Quenelles Lyonnaise were delicious and the Grilled Pork Dijonnaise equally so. Even the simple salad was incredibly good, with just the right amount of dressing. What a wonderful place. Though not visually fancy, the food was delectable and the hospitality warm. Ultimately those two things are...
