Takumi Ramen — Restaurant in Lyon

I visited this place based on a recommendation, and I must say, I left absolutely thrilled! I started with the chicken gyozas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The filling had a flawless balance of flavors, and the dipping sauce was simply divine.

The main course – chashu ramen – was absolutely phenomenal. The broth was rich, intense, and full of umami, just as it should be. The noodles had the perfect texture, and the chashu pork was tender, melt-in-your-mouth, with an amazing caramelized flavor.

And the desserts? The green tea tiramisu was light, creamy, and had a subtle bitterness from the matcha, which contrasted beautifully with the sweet mascarpone. The yuzu cheesecake was the perfect finale – refreshing, slightly tangy, and with an irresistible citrusy note.

Second time eating here. First time wife and I had some ramen. The Tempura and Chashu. Very close to authentic Japanese ramen. Umami flavour was good. Portion sizes are really big so very worth the price.

Second time had the Gyu-Don and the Chicken Yakuidon. Gyu-Don was very good. You can see why it’s one of their best sellers. The Yakuidon was good, however could have been more flavourful.

The Wakame salad amazing and the Mochi (frozen) really good! All in all, one of the best Ramen places in Lyon. Price for portion is amazing!...

J'ai débarqué à 21h avec une amie sans avoir réservé. Un comportement qui laisse à désirer, j'en conviens ! La serveuse nous prévient que le temps d'attente risque d'être long. Normal, pas de soucis ! Mais à notre grande et agréable surprise, l'attente fut bien plus courte que prévu. En entrée, tofu frit. L'odeur était si alléchante que j'ai failli me brûler la langue, peinant à me retenir de goûter ! J'ai pu déguster le premier Katsudon de ma vie, plat que je rêvais de goûter depuis bien des années, et ce fut un délice. Alors que j'écris cet avis, l'amie qui m'accompagne me demande de mentionner le fait qu'il y a des options végétariennes, un point positif effectivement non négligeable. À l'intérieur, on peut être surpris par l'espace relativement étroit, mais pour ma part j'y ai trouvé une sensation de convivialité qui a rendu ce restaurant presque familier, alors que j'y allais pour la première fois. Étant un grand amateur d'anime et de culture traditionnelle japonaise depuis ma préadolescence, la déco était évidemment un plaisir pour mes mirettes, avec des références à Ghibli, One Piece, Bleach, Pokémon ou encore Naruto dans une très belle fresque. En somme, ce repas chez Takumi était un plaisir et j'espère y retourner...
