MEZIA - Glacier « champion du monde » — Restaurant in Marseille

The atmosphere was very cold…not because of the employees (who are giving their best) but because you had to order your Ice cream via a machine like at McDonalds or other fast food lines. It feels useless, chaotic and time consuming. And sincerely it’s polluting with electricity in times where we are all trying to be more ecological. The employees who are in the shop only serve you the ice cream you ordered at the end. But it honestly feels purely transactional. I missed the human exchange. It’s what feels homey to ordering ice cream, or sincerely any other food. The ice cream was really tasty, hence the 3 stars but I sadly don’t think I’ll go back. I was studying aboard during my time in La Ciotat that I came across this ice cream shop. The service was really amazing even when I spoke so little French!! This ice cream was very delicious, that its going to be a sweet treat that I’m already missing to taste now that I’m back home in the United States. If you are ever around the area and the sun is too hot for you, then I definitely recommend stopping by for a really nice cold...

5/5 : franchement si j'avais pu mettre plus d'étoiles en bonus, je l'aurai fait. Je suis fan de glaces et là, il y a du niveau! Le nom de l'enseigne n'est vraiment pas trompeur C'est une adresse incroyable pour ceux qui aiment les bonnes glaces Une vraie expérience où même le touriste est reçu comme il se doit (ça devient trop rare) Dès l'accueil, le patron nous propose de tester les parfums, ensuite le choix, la qualité, de vraies boucles généreuses, un verre d'eau gratuit: tout y est pour passer un vrai bon moment dégustation. La glace est dense, elle ne fond pas en qq secondes et on sent le vrai goût du naturel. En bref juste incroyable! Nous reviendrons nous balader en soirée à La Ciotat, avant la fin de nos vacances, spécialement pour retourner chez ce glacier champion du monde.
