Spending the night and the following day at the Tuba Club was an experience.
This place is full of thoughtful human and design attentions that will make your experience truly magical.
The whole concept and interior design is simply exquisite and brilliant. I was stunned by how tasteful everything was, I stopped by their merchandise closet and purchased some of their items to remember the magic of my stay and experience. From a professional opinion these are great quality items and brilliantly designed.
The rooms are stunning and cosy, it feels like you’re inside a boat cabin. I love the french touch with the yellow window glasses in the bedroom giving a sexy sight to the shower room, very chic and slightly naughty.
The hotel is very quiet, only the sound of the waves and the rhythm of the cicadas. It’s no secret that the south of France is plagued with tiger mosquitoes during the summertime, I would strongly suggest to build a mosquito net around the frame of the balcony doors and also provide spray mosquito repellent, so the guests can keep the windows open at night to relax to the sound of the waves while sleeping and also not get devoured by mosquitoes while enjoying the balcony view and nocturnal mood.
The staff is absolutely charming and does its very best to help and enhance the guests’ experience with an incredible accommodating spirit and constant efforts to keep up with high standards service. They went above and beyond with a smile and a great attitude.
As a constructive feedback, I would say there is room for improvement with the management. Emails communication prior the reservation was slow to actually unresponsive. Once at the hotel, the place seemed to be suffering of an understaff situation and the workers were clearly overwhelmed by customers requests and unanticipated problems.
I would recommend the Tuba Club to all the lovers of Marseille and its culinary and aesthetic heritage and to anyone seeking a quiet and charming retreat by the...

My sister and I planned our trip from Nice around visiting Tuba Club, as we were excited to try the food and enjoy the location. Since the restaurant was fully booked, we reserved at the upstairs Bikini Bar — reassured by Tuba Club’s own Instagram, which features the same food plates in both settings.
However, upon arrival, we were shocked to find that Bikini Bar only offered four basic snack options, nothing like the restaurant’s offerings. At 2:30pm, we approached the restaurant downstairs to politely ask if we could have a quick lunch, as the tables were still full and food was being served.
Instead, we were met with an extremely rude hostess, who bluntly told us the kitchen was closed. Strangely, just 10 minutes later, we saw a group of three girls — who had arrived at the same time as us but had a reservation — being served a full lunch.
I went downstairs again to express my confusion and disappointment, and a second waiter, equally dismissive, explained that they’d already “served 100 people,” and made it clear that walk-ins are simply not treated the same. He also said the kitchen closes “around 2:45,” which made our refusal even more frustrating.
My sister had carefully planned our day around visiting Tuba, but we left hungry and disappointed. It was disheartening to be made to feel like certain guests matter and others don’t, depending on who you are or whether you booked a table.
The location is undeniably beautiful, but the lack of hospitality, elitist attitude, and misleading communication made this experience a complete letdown. Unfortunately, it seems style and image are more important than genuine...
Read moreI'll start with what I liked first.
The view is nice and the food is tasty, but I guess the latter depends on the guest cook.
Unfortunately what I enjoyed about the restaurant is significantly less than what I didn't enjoy.
I mentioned that the view is nice, however you have to be lucky enough to be placed on a table where you can enjoy it. It seems that the places with the best view are reserved for guests of the hotel or VIPs, which in my opinion should be made more transparent on how it works, since it's one of the restaurant's selling points.
Something else I didn't like is that all the guests are packed very closely to each other, the tables are tiny and get overcrowded when you order two dishes. What also I noticed is that there are tables in direct sunlight, the staff are seating guests there and when the guests move to another table because of the heat, the staff just cleanes the table and seats someone else on it, which is a really bad practice, having in mind how much money you're paying.
Speaking of which, the place is definitely overpriced for what it is. The food is tasty, but not mindblowing to be that expensive and as I mentioned earlier, it depends on who's cooking. The service is way too chaotic and leaves a lot to be desired of. We ordered tuna tartare and the dude serving us, just went ahead and scrambled it without explaining anything and without askind if we'd like to do it ourselves, which is a first for me.
Overall, I don't recommend the restaurant because it's overpriced and it's really far away from achieving it's ambition to be as posh as it seems to be presenting...
