Arita — Restaurant in Metz

I am a Korean and love Korean food. This is the worst Korean restaurant in the world I've been to. If you want to experience a bad Korean dish done by an amteur, go to this one. The owner seems to think she has a gourmet restaurant, therefore no hope for an improvement. She was also very overbearing, asking us many times if we'd be okay not ordering Plats (main dish). We were lucky we did not order any main dish. Food was very unprofessional, let alone tasty. Their food is poorly and amateurishly homemade and overpriced. We had three dishes of apertizers (could not trust their food as we sat down at the table), one of which was 4 piece of frozen gyoja which you can easily find at an asian market for 3 euro for 50 pieces. We paid 44 euro for 3 poorly, unprofessionally...

I guess this Korean owner is responsible for everything. She brings menu to customers, takes orders, cooks, brings dishes to customers again. But… she has to have some more helper in her restaurant. Waiting time is too long, quality of food ( nothing to find in Miso soup, Green Salat - just with dressing, small salty fish and rice was acceptable - ) . With this quality, if her restaurant would located in Frankfurt, nobody will come to her place again. She is friendly and I am sure it’s her dream to keep running her restaurant, but she needs...

Une vraie pépite ! Ce restaurant coréen et japonais tenu par une adorable petite dame et son mari est une belle découverte. Après y être allé trois fois, je peux confirmer que la qualité est toujours au rendez-vous. Mention spéciale pour le barbecue coréen, une merveille ! La viande est fondante, délicieusement assaisonnée et pleine de saveurs.

Petit point à noter : le service prend du temps (environ 1h30-2h), mais c’est tout à fait compréhensible puisqu’ils sont seuls en cuisine et au service. De toute façon, c’est indiqué à l’avance, donc on vient en connaissance de cause et on profite du moment !

J’ai eu la chance d’y aller pour le menu Saint-Valentin, qui était vraiment sympa avec une jolie décoration adaptée. L’ambiance du restaurant est chaleureuse avec une déco typique qui nous plonge dans l’atmosphère coréenne et japonaise.

Le seul point négatif, et cela n’a rien à voir avec le restaurant, c’est le comportement de certains clients irrespectueux, qui se permettent de parler mal à la patronne alors qu’elle fait de son mieux. Il faut être patient et respectueux. C’est dommage de voir des gens gâcher une si belle expérience avec leur mauvaise attitude…

Honnêtement, je recommande à 100% ! Un restaurant authentique où l’on mange extrêmement bien. J’y retournerai...
