Excellent flammkuchen, it was the first time we had them and I would gladly recommend this place. We were told this place was popular with the locals and that doesn't surprise me. The original flammkuchen is served with pork and cheese etc. and ingredients can be left out when requested. The standard is that you get the original flammkuchen, and subsequent ones will be added until you order the dessert. As a dessert we chose multiple flambéed fruit flammkuchen, which were also really good. We also ordered a bottle of riesling wine (white), which was a very nice wine to combine with the flammkuchen and the wine doesn't have that sharp, bitter aftertaste which makes it accessible for 'beginners'. Service was a little slow, but that's understandable since we had a special order. Overall a very good restaurant with a nice scenery and very good food.

We read the reviews and stopped in for a beer on the terrace on a Sunday pm , when almost everything was closed . Ended up staying for the tarte flambée, and WOW ! We shared a tarte aux champignons, then a Demi-pomme . Absolutely delicious ! Our French is rudimentary to say the least , but we ended up having great chats with the matriarch, and a memorable evening ! The restaurant was packed on a Sunday night, so obviously very popular. Consider making a reservation. A night to remember !
