The male waiter obviously had a bad day, and his mood didnt improve after he lost a plate on the floor, while the female was nicer. We ordered hamburgers with salat and got one burger each but only one salad which we after a little effort with fork and knife managed to share into two somewhat smaller salads with almost similar content. Also ordered desserts, one icecream-bowl which was OK but too exepencieve and One belgian waffel that came with the wrong topping. After some negotiations some cream was put on it, it tasted industrial but it was ....cream. Our double espressos didnt came at all and som more diplomacy nettet us single espressos which of course is better than no espressos, but still not doubles... Burgers could have been warmer, but they were equipped with a couple of big slices of tomato that effectively cooled them down. In general this was far from the culinary nirvana that the pretensios looking menu and expencieve white furniture tried to signal, but more like a visit to an upscale hamburger joint (the burgers were actually good and made of natural ingredients). BTW as we come from the mot barbaric part of europe we do not understand french very well and we prefer making strange language-sounding noises. We use more time in understanding the menu than people from more civilised countries so you do not need to ask us two times in three minutes if we have made up our minds, cause we havent and we will need more times and some use of google translate...

Disastrous service: despite the staff running around like decapitated chickens, we had to ask for everything since they failed to bring things like water, cutlery, or aïoli sauce for the shrimp. Most egregious of all, the fish was overcooked for the entree because dishes are plated early and then (re)heated like some kind of second-rate canteen food. The patron talks to her friends and ignores other guests. Overpriced wines. The only positive aspects were the lovely waterfront location and the coquillage (seafood) plate, which was local and therefore infallible. A pretentious restaurant that hides poor service behind it's so-called gourmet style dining. We ordered one starter but two arrived. Two beef tornados, one medium and one medium rare were ordered, both with sauté potatoes. They arrived without the potatoes and were both medium rare and very tough. Both were sent back. We accepted their apologies and the offer of a free meal for two. The standard was well below what you'd expect from a restaurant that advertises itself as a high end dining experience.
