San三Sushi Montpellier — Restaurant in Montpellier

Hands down one of the best sushi experience I’ve ever had in France. The quality of ingredients and originality of recipes compete with much fancier places where we would have paid at least double more. I am not sure such a place exists in Montpellier area anyway so you can’t go wrong. It was 11pm and we ordered the 80 sushi platter. Everything was very tasty and beautifully presented. Portions were more than generous, I can’t help but mention how thick and fresh sashimis were. The place doesn’t look very welcoming at first sight but you rapidly forget about it when the feast starts. Both the waiter and the owner were nice and welcoming, we even got offered a last minute salmon mango tartare before leaving, out of pure kindness and generosity. The sushi here is absolutely top for an affordable price! The portion sizes were generous, leaving me completely satisfied. The quality of the ingredients used was superb. Every piece of sushi was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared.

Very average sushi and bad quality fish. I was quite excited to check out this restaurant as it had good reviews. But it turned out to be a bad experience. The tuna, as you can see from the pictures, is bad, the rice was dry and was reheated. It took them more than 40’ to bring the food; the service is welcoming though.
