Bar Restaurant Pizzeria de la Brèche, Pont du Gard, Collias — Restaurant in Nîmes

Colias is a wonderfully beautiful town (more village really) with fantastic views of the Gardon river where it sweeps around some fairly tight curves causing great undercuts in the rock. Canoeing is a big thing in Colias. Right next door to the river on the main street running up the hill is the local pub (well ok then not Pub but bar). It seems clean and fairly busy but friendly to foreigners? Not as good as it could be. It is sad to mention it but if only the little way out places such as this bar in colias could see the bigger picture, understand the benefits locally to good tourist trade, participate in sharing and enriching others from around the world, the benefits to their neighbours...

Beer was cold, unfortunately so was the reception at the restaurant.

Locals were served food on the front terrace, but as visitors we were told this was "not possible".

Quite likely a misunderstanding due to my very limited French, but I would not recommend this place to other visitors. Maybe that's what...

Nous y avons mangé aujourd'hui et vraiment très dessus .... Accueilli sans même un bonjour, la carte affiché sur une ardoise retirer avant même que nous soyons installés quand nous signalons a la serveuse que nous n'avons pas vu la carte elle nous dit juste qu'elle n'a plus de gaspacho.... Seul souvenir de la carte " salade césar" la serveuse qui se plaint de son travail a notre table .... Et alors au moment du départ ....
