Guinguette La Petite Venise — Restaurant in Nîmes

The food looked good initially, but was abhorrent. Ordered a burger at medium, came back undercooked. The burger was about half goat cheese, half (raw) meat. The shrimp were completely overcooked with the digestive tract left in them, causing them to rupture and being unable to be removed from the shrimp. Better yet they also smelled like outdated fish, caused by leaving the shell on while cooking them too long. The taste ended up being solely that of the uncleaned digestive tract, i.e. sandy, and the stench of the overcooked shell. The already relatively unprofessional atmosphere was then only further pronounced by a hostile handling of the review I initially wrote, and by the attitude we got for asking a refund. The only saving grace this place had was the fact that we did get the refund, and the swans/goose chilling around.

In conclusion: Steer clear.

P.S. if your work consists of cooking the garbage you plated for us I think you're better off spending your time deflecting...

New owners this year at this restaurant with beautiful scenery. Very helpful people🤗. I have a difficult diet where I can't eat fructans so; no unions, garlic or wheat. They made no problem to make sure I could eat here. We've eaten the duck here and it was really tasty, so tasty that we came back a couple days later to eat it again. 😄 The other dishes that we've seen people eating looked good too. Haven't tried the deserts ourselves but others seemed happy with theirs.

Bonjour ! Retour sur mon expérience dans se restaurant. Nous sommes venus a 8, 4 adultes 4 enfants. Accueil pas terribles avec une serveuse qui tire la tronche et pas aimable du tout ! Cette serveuse ma clairement gâché mon moment entre amis et famille. Sûrement que sa devais lui faire un momo au dos de sourire. ( On a quand même eu un petit sourire forcé lol) Pas a l'écoute du tout. La grosse serveuse m'a mis la pression pour vite choisir mon plat dans la carte, alors que cela faisais même pas 5 seconde que je tenais la carte en main! En espace de 1 minutes, a 3 reprise elle m'a demander si j'avais fait mon choix et surtout il m'a bien fait part de sont agassement car je n'allais pas assez vite pour madame. Dans se genre de travail au sein d'un affaire comme cela, le bon fonctionnement du restaurant dépend du bon vouloir des c'est employés a laisser c'est problème a la maison avannt sont services et assuré une prestation digne du lieux. C'est dommage beau restaurant belle endroit agréable pour passer un bon moment convivial, dommage que votre serveuse ne prennent pas plaisir à jouer a la dînette. PS : C'est que le début de la saison souris ma belle tes pas monstre! Tu va pas tenir toutes la saison avec un état d'esprit aussi médiocre. Je vous souhaite un jour de trouver un serveuse qui vous assure le service comme celà, et vous comprendrez...
