Restaurant du Commerce — Restaurant in Nîmes

We been visiting commerce the last 4 years every summer as we have a house in goudargues. It used to be the best restaurant in goudargues, but standard has dropped in the kitchen. This time we asked for 2 medium beef Rossini, 2 burgers and a duck dish. The first beefs that arrived was completely well done and a very thin beef. My wife had a duck dish. Duck was overdone also. Burgers was a bit to well done, but all in all ok. Well we pointed out to the nice waiter that the beef was not medium, and 10 minutes after we had 2 new beef Rossini's. This time the cut was very thick and totally red. We decided to eat it anyway. Another thing to mention was that the sides with this dish was the same as the duck dish, except for the sauce. Very not cool. In the end we pointed out to the nice waiter that it was sad to see that the chef could not do a steak medium. She heard us but nothing else. We still had to pay full bill (we did not ask for any discount). So service on that...

Lovely restaurant! Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and fresh and good quality food for a very reasonable price.

We had a table next to small river which is so clear that you can see the trout swim. A really cosy and relaxed setting. The staff was really friendly and professional with a good amount of english knowledge.

The menu is small, but the quality of the food is high. (Thats more important in the end!) Really...

We sat on the outside next to the small canal, lovely ambiance! The hamburger came with a tasty side salad and the portions were big. The kids said that these were the best hamburgers they had ever had and where really happy.
