Brioche Dorée — Restaurant in Nantes

Hi,

We visited the Brioche Doree Restaurant in the Nante Beaulieu Shopping Centre in Mid October 2022 and stopped for Lunch as we had rumbling stomachs, the Staff were very helpful in explaining the Meal Deals to two poor French speakers and really looked after us, even getting a colleague of theirs who spoke good English to come help us.

We shared a Meal Deal that included a Cuisine Poulet Caesar Sandwich, and my partner had a nice Cake and we had a cold drink, and then after that a small strong coffee, we were confused that you go up and collect the coffee after the meal, and after thinking about it that made sense to not have it first before eating.

I don't remember such a thing happening in the UK where you eat and get your Coffee afterwards but it brings back memories of the small cultural differences and why we go travelling. It was nice.

Not a nice place to be, the service was terrible. We arrived around 18.45 and tried to order a coffee. They told us they didnt had any milk and the girl with the brown hair didnt want to help us/talk to us. I understand France and she didnt talk nice about us. The other women helped us. I wanted to sit down because I knew they would close at 20.00 but the girl with the brown hair said they were close and we weren’t allowed to sit down and she send me away. Je tiens à laisser ce commentaire car j’ai eu une très mauvaise expérience avec le personnels. Je me présente avec une offre que le restaurant propose je prouves par A + B que je peux en bénéficier vu qu’il apparaisse sur la liste des restaurants participants. Les trois vendeurs (2 hommes 1 femmes) me disent qu’ils ne savent pas ect.. ce que je peux comprendre mais la femme est insistantes et hautaine à mon égard et continue de me dire que non je ne peux en bénéficier. Cela fait déjà un petit moment que j’attend et quand je lui dis en levant les bras vers le ciel pour désigner l’enseigne ainsi que le centre commercial « nous sommes bien à Nantes à Beaulieu à la brioche dorée » elle rétorque une phrase que je n’es plus en tête puis ce met à m’imiter et à en rire avec ses collègues. Je les donc remises à ça place poliment mais elle continue d’avoir une voix portante limite hurlante sur moi devant les autres clientes qui le remarque aussi.
