La Casa — Restaurant in Nice

WE GOT SCAMMED. Tourists stay away! At first glance nice staff, told us that they are out of food from the menu and suggested a 2 meals that are available. First meal vas 2 small chicken skewers with 2 toast breads and a second meal was green salad with 3 slices of tomatoes and burata cheese and we took 2 corona beers. Got charged 50 dollars for this and it literally destroyed my day. While we were eating we discussed how food is unsalted and is honestly bad but we like the place and the staff since they were pleasant and smiling all the time and since all food in the menu costed around 8 dollars we thought it a fine deal and the food taste doesn’t matter that much. A slightly different review. I was cycling on Av De La Liberte and slammed into the back of a car, crashing through the back window after it came to an unexpected abrupt stop in a pedestrian intersection. The two ladies of La Casa immediately came to assist, providing first aid, water and assisting with the police as well as calling for a taxi to get me back to Nice after it was all over. I do not speak French and they were exceptionally helpful and accommodating considering the disruption I caused their little spot. I can't be more appreciative of the kindness of La Casa. We stayed in Eze for a week this week and all I can say is the staff are absolutely fantastic and nice people. I loved stopping here everyday for espresso or cappuccino, cold treats and fantastic fries. They would even bring in fresh pain au chocolate if you request in advance.
