Le Kallisté — Restaurant in Nice

Not impressed, especially the andouillette dish. It didn’t come in time as the waiter “misunderstood”. Well, how can it be when he repeat exactly what I ordered. With benefit of doubt, I am a non French speaker, but he repeated it and all my family say at the table are french. If he didn’t understand, he can ask. Plus, through out the menu there isn’t other dish that sounds like andouillette.

What’s even worse is that it was cooked pretty burned. What a waste of paying close to 16€ and get a burned andouillette.

Also it’s a shame that all the dishes came with fries, very fast food feel.

The only two things I can say positive about the place was their nice fish tank, and the squid pizza.

I would have give lower stars if not because my cousin loves their half pizza and...

Biig mistake: I went again and asked for a wrap which was probably pre-made a century ago as the salad inside was almost molded. Never seen something like that. Honestly DON'T GO, you risk a toxic infection! I was only impressed with the fish tanks. My dish however could not be eaten. I had the baby calamari and they were not cleaned well, nor seasoned well. Avec une devanture un peu trompeuse, Le Kallisté n'est pas qu'un restaurant de pizzas. Il s'apparente plus à une brasserie, composée de viande rouge et de poisson, de salades, de pâtes et de fameuses pizzas. Mon plat type pour tester la qualité de la cuisine, c'est le burger. Je me suis donc lancé sur le Big Burger, composé de 2 steaks, une galette de pomme de terre, salades, (sans) tomate (pour moi), oignons confits, cheddar, sauce barbecue, accompagnée de frites bien entendu. Le résultat ? Il y a du bon et du moins bon. Toute la garniture est bonne et bien assaisonnée, la cuisson est respectée. J'ai un doute sur le fait que la galette de pomme de terre soit faite maison, en revanche le pain ne l'est pas ce qui est bien dommage, car on sent le contraste de qualité. Concernant le service, le mien a été minimal mais rapide. Le cadre quant à lui est à la fois coloré et légèrement triste. Cert, il y a de très jolis aquarium, mais je pense que certains poissons sont trop nombreux, leur laissant très peu d'espace, ou n'ont rien à faire ici.
