Large store on the corner. You order at the counter and take your stuff to the seating area. They even heat up the stuff for you which is nice, but also means not everything was made very fresh. Socca - the fresh warm one was delicious! Very unique flavor here. Would definitely work well as a dessert version with some cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. Courgette (Zucchini) Beignets were actually very very nice but also very very only. Ended up using some tissue papers to squeeze them and remove as much oil as possible before eating. Still quite some oil left but they were delicious either way. Tarte Blette - This was like a spinach tart. Very thick layer of spinach in a thin crust. Quite meh on its own to be honest. Ended up trying it with socca and it was lovely. Maybe the thinner tourte (with spinach between two layers of pastry) would be good on its own? Pissaladière - It was kind of like a french onion soup pizza. All the onion toppings on top of a pizza base. First time having it so not sure if there are places that make it better, but overall not too bad.

I found this restaurant when looking for the best place to buy Socca. This is an amazing self service hole in the wall where the locals go to. They have a Nice street food assortment for €10, Socca for around €3 and amazing mussels in cream sauce for €9 (which is a steal). The socca was a little dry for my liking, but was good none the less. We liked this place so much we went back twice in the same day. It makes for a perfect snack or lunch. They had a steady turn around of people, but the waiting time in the line isn't long as they move quickly. This is a must visit place in Nice.

**Lou Pilha Leva – Nice** I really loved this place. The **staff is friendly and welcoming**, which is impressive given how busy and touristy the area can get. The **socca with a cold beer** is a perfect match — simple, authentic, and delicious. As a Uruguayan, I couldn’t help but notice how similar socca is to our **fainá**, a chickpea flour flatbread brought by Italian immigrants to Uruguay. That connection made the experience even more special. A great spot to stop for lunch before continuing your walk or heading back to the beach. Highly recommend for a true taste of Nice!

I should explain exactly what I experienced here as the customer. Because we two wanted to just try Socca, we ordered one dish. Then staffs began to whiser in French something (In my little knowledge about French, it seemed to laugh at Asian's shopping habit) and gave us plate without fork. The guy said 'Have it with your hands you guys enjoy to eat with your hands'. I said no and asked him to give us fork but that guy said they didn't have fork while other customers using fork. I am only able to conclude it in two ways: This disgusting restaurant discriminate Asians or discrimate customers according how much they 'waste' money there. Why 'waste'? apparently awful Socca...
