Visited this place tonight and I must say everything was great until we had a terrible experience with the waiter. The menu is mostly meat and you choose 1 side item. Two people with me asked for beef, I had the lamb, and the other person my mom in had the chicken. The lamb, chicken, veal was great! The beef though because we aren't from France, we are from D.C. we didn't know that the beef is typically served medium rare. They didn't want it prepared that way and simply asked the waiter to cook it well done. Instead of just listening, he insisted on telling us we should have known to ask and this is how its done. I didn't appreciate that at all. I didn't ask him to prepare it the way he suggested, I asked him to fix it since I AM PAYING FOR IT! Then he finally agrees to ask the chef to cook it well done and brings it back medium well!!! Still NOT what we asked for! We agreed that we understood it would be tough but we explained we liked it that way. They still did what they wanted to do. After that, my mother asked to box up her food and he actually put the dirty dishes on top of her food!!!!! We were LIVID!!! Asked to speak to the manager and the waiter asked us "why". Good food overall but the terrible customer service has totally turned me off!!! Listen to the bad reviews! There are plenty of great food options with way better customer service!! Would have loved to give this a better rating but customer service...
Read moreBelow average food, good service, dishonest owner, clean restaurant, casual atmosphere.
The food was served warm to room temperature, and with good presentation. The quality and taste were below average. The mixed vegetables and steak in the steak salad were served room temperature. Like they were made a long time ago and just added to the plate. The other main dish was served hot. The dishes had little flavor, and the beef was dry and tough.
The service was professional and the outdoor seating was nice. The entire restaurant was operated by just the owner and a cook.
What I particularly did not like was that when we were paying the bill, the server / owner told us three times to add a tip onto the check.

Response to owner. Dear Sir. I'd double checked with my photos and with Google. Unfortunately, I am not mistaken. Le Rosetti is a hotel and the photos looked nothing like your restaurant.
These are my opinions and experiences. Others will be different. I try to give honest reviews. I do not like giving bad reviews, but would much preferred to have a positive dining experience.

Read moreThis was our first dining experience in our 1st night in Nice. We were looking for a dinner place in Old Nice and stumbled upon this restaurant (it was around 9pm). We walked in and the waitress greeted us and set us up with a table downstairs. I found the little 'cave' downstairs was a unique and cute dining experience, there is a bit of a moldy smell but we got over it quick. We ordered the duck terrine for starter, it was delicious! and we ordered the roasted beef w/ ratatouille (comes rare) and roast veal w/ mashed potato. All very good and fresh! We had our meats with the Bordeaux red wine they had and it was a good complement. Finally, we ordered the tiramisu. This was the best tiramisu i've had in all of France. A must order! Our only regret is that we didnt get to try the roasted chicken as it was sold out. Apparently, this place gets really busy and normally you should have a reservation. All their food is fresh so they run out of items easily. I guess we were lucky when we walked in. I would definitely recommend this place, good food and vibes, and the music they played downstairs gives it quite a...
