Malongo Atelier Barista - Nice — Restaurant in Nice

The coffee shop and products are really good but I had a bad experience with one of the baristas. We went yesterday and it was full, I had visited it earlier in July and we had a pleasant experience so I decided that I, at least get a product. I asked a tall barista for one Tart Tartin for take away, all in English. At time of payment, it seemed that the card needed to be inserted. I didn't know at the beginning what's wrong,he continued to speak in french, three times I tell him sorry I am not understanding his french. I told him I heard you talking with other customers in English why are you making yourself that you don't know English. He replied yes I talk very well English. I told him what you did was not nice nor professional. Then he apologized and said (my bad, sorry). I went to enjoy the good coffee shop and not a language school. Hope it wouldn't happen again and people would not pay for a product to...

Totally unhappy of the service received. Although there was enough staff waited 10 minutes to take the order cause 4 people were serving one person who was complaining while a queue of people were waiting to be served. Ordered a cup of tea as take away as I was running out of time , and I was served a cup with a tea infuser and asked to wait 4 minutes.. for take away should be a tea bag otherwise I would have a normal cup and sit down. After I mentioned I was in hurry the guy took the tea infuser away after 5 seconds, I asked for refund and they were acting as didn’t understand. Totally unacceptable for a cup of dirty water paid 4.60 Euro!! Didn’t have much time and I went away.. Do it yourself a favour avoid this place! Nice has many more...
