The 2 hours we dined at Beitna, just a stone throw from where we stay at the Royal Regency, was beyond expectations.

It has a charming atmosphere, uncluttered decorations, and sparkling clean table settings. On top of that, each patron received a very warm welcome from owner-chef, Eid Hage.

The dishes we had were the delicately prepared fresh Hommos, tasty Chawarma (beef) and superbly grilled Lahme (lamb).

What’s more was that I was able to watch Eid in action in his tiny and perfectly planned out kitchen from where I sat. The alertness in his eyes, each calculated squat to reach the lower shelf, each quarter turn to reach for an ingredient, and how he bends his ring finger at 90 degrees to balance the smaller plates all while the larger plates rest gracefully on his first three fingers.

This man knows his craft and it reflects in every dish he served, in his every move and his interaction with patrons.

Thank you for the...

Terrible service! I've given this place a chance many times, I had brought a lot of people in because i like the food and the proximity, but bad service is just a deal braker for me, there for i would never come again as i realize the owner is always in a bad mood. Bad service, very unprofessional and frigid telephone hosting and unpleasant face from the owner who looks like he hates what he's doing. He's never going to attrack more people that way, every time i go is empty. Is like going to a house where you're not welcome despite of the fact you pay to be there, he doesn't even make an effort with loyal clients like myself, so to hell...

We arrived right at the opening. It turned out to be a small, cozy restaurant serving Lebanese cuisine. The staff was friendly and helped us with the menu. I ordered Lebanese coffee, which had a very unique taste, though a bit strong for me. I also got a platter with a variety of dishes to get familiar with Lebanese food. It was delicious!
