Great restaurant and great food!! Even though it's a small place, the service is magnificent and has the local atmosphere where all are welcome. Lunch special included dessert, molten lava chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. My mom had the vegetarian (sweet potato) dish, and she absolutely loved it, such that we returned so that she could have it for dinner 🙃. The proteins were cooked and seasoned to perfection, and the only downside might be that I couldn't enjoy all the dishes because they would have to rolled me out from being too full. Nice place but we were the only customers that evening, thus the 3 stars for the atmosphere. The service was okay but they missed special requests during order. The food itself was decent. I wasn’t really impressed but that’s just my personal taste. For main course, I had the burger and overall it was blunt, the sauce was dominated by the dijon mustard, the bottom bun was overcooked and too crispy for no reason, the beef was not seasoned properly. Nouveau restaurant ouvert à Fontenay sous Bois il y a peu, ce qui clanche ici c'est surtout l'addition : des vins très moyens à minimum 40 euros, une carte encore peu variée et un menu à 40 euros assez loin de ce qu'on peut attendre à ce tarif.
Mais surtout, à la carte, ce sont les propositions de viande, notamment la côte de boeuf Black Angus, qui fait plus que décevoir : à 80 euros, on pourrait s'attendre à ce que la découpe, le choix du morceau, la cuisson et l'accompagnement soient au niveau, ce qui est très loin d'être le cas. Composée pour moitié de nerfs ou de gras, on en vient déjà à se demander s'il s'agit bien de Black Angus, et quand elle est à la limite du bien cuit alors qu'on la demande saignante, le prix payé pour ce qu'on a dans l'assiette commence à sembler bien cher.
A noter cependant : l'accueil, bien que se cherchant encore visiblement un peu entre le commercial qui en fait trop et le chaleureux, est dans l'ensemble plutôt sympathique. A souligner également : très honnête. Alors qu'un convive n'avait pas pris le dessert de son menu, le dessert à la carte d'un autre convive n'a pas été compté dans l'addition, en remplacement.
En résumé : restaurant encore jeune et se cherchant visiblement, cadre sans réel charme, et prix bien trop élevés pour la qualité proposée. A retester d'ici quelques mois, le temps qu'ils...
