Stone Grill — Restaurant in Noumea

So... Let's sort this out early on to filter out the myriad of well intentioned souls who can't cook: At Stone Grill, you grill your own steak on a hot stone, there's no oil, and if you need to cut it in half to see if it's done to your likeness, you shouldn't be cooking your own food while drinking Bordeaux. There's some fantastic steaks on the menu, locally, from NZ and from Australia.

We heard loads of complaints about this place from the tables around us, I cringed watching Americans chop up their raw steak, fry it on the stone and eat it from there, complaining it was quite tough. No, you just ruined it.

Stone Grill is very casual sitting half out on the footpath, the pricing is 'correct' as the French would say, the side dishes are quite good and there's a decent selection of booze on the menu.

The Native staff is amazing and the owner is a good man one worker seems a bit of with Dark skin Tourists like my self. Had a great time there 3 days straight until the a European woman worker at the bar was very rude and unwelcoming to me not sure why my family spent lots of money at this place and i even feed some of the local people who could not pay the price of the menu with great time until the staff changed the Native workers was so very welcoming and the french man i think owner was very nice Not sure this lady issue God bless her and a shame I skip my favorite food spot Great...

My partner and I visited Stone Grill on 30 Dec 2019 and was pleasantly surprised there was a line waiting to be seated. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and got us seated very quickly. The head waiter named Luke was very personable and friendly. He made this experience lots of fun. Steak prices comes with two sides and a choice of sauce for a very reasonable price compared to other expensive restaurants in Noumea.
