L'idée — Restaurant in Orléans

We were at the restaurant with our two kids on opening hour. We ordered a three course menu for us and a kids menu with extra fries for the kids. We let the waitress know that we appreciate a fast service as our children were very tired and our son had to take his medicine on time. After several customers were served, who arrived after us and we didn’t received the main course after 1,5 hours we had to cancel the rest of the menu. Until that we were ignored quite successfully. On my complaint, the waiters were uncomprehending. Especially the male waiter was rude and kept interrupting me continuously. As I told him - pretty annoyed at this time - to shut up for a second and listen to me, he got aggressive and his colleague had to hold him back. Absolutely not customer- especially family-friendly restaurant with high prices for average food. Be aware of the curly, dark haired waiter!...

Nicely located on a cute square in Beaugency next to the market halles. The menu looks promising, but the cooking and presentation is really under par. Salads are uninspired just some pile of lettuce with dressing from a bottle. The meat was cooked ok, but the profiteroles desert is a calorie bomb with old pastry, lots of whipped cream from the super market and something not worthy of the name chocolate. Very disappointing, also considering the price level. There are better options in town. I have to make an exception for the extremely young, but super motivated staff that is fast, super friendly and takes care of...

Worst food in this town. Paid 60€ for a caesar that wasn’t Caesar and had also chicken bones. Beef that was dry. Only the fried potatoes were fine and the bread. Chef was totally dirty when he came to bring us a carafe. Carafe was full of fingerprints and dirty. We had our plastic bottles to drink. Don’t spend your money there. Better to go somewhere else to eat...
