Restaurant Bombay — Restaurant in Périgueux

Before I start.. can I just say we(my husband & self) are very well traveled & reasonable thinking people.. so this is not an unjustified moan believe me. Booked a table for two for 19.30, Saturday evening. We live half an hour away and got there on time. The waiters brought us some water and 2 menus. She took our food order around 20 minutes later. A half hour later after that, having studiously ignored us, she came out with the entreés. A fish ball, (not an Indian spice in sight,) a prawn and lettuce salad (no indian reference there either) and the onion bhajis were just battered onion rings from frozen. It was not hot either. We'd been there for nearly an hour by then. The waitress ignored us, I tried to order more wine but she would not catch our eye. By 21.05 we'd had enough. Other people got served but not very quickly either. Take aways were being collected but no sign of our mains. We paid for our wine end entrée and left. I've never done that before. The place and the food were cold, no atmosphere whatsoever...the service was terrible and what little we ate was terrible. The absolute worst in every way. We wasted 2 and a half hours of our lives going to this place. They need to get a new chef & staff in fact a complete revamp! Do yourself a favour and don't bother. Complete waste of time and money. Sum up in one word?...

C'est simple, c'est la pire note que je n'ai jamais mise. Le service été catastrophique, le serveur qui est apperrement le patron préfère débarrasser une table vide depuis 1h30 plutôt que nous enlever nos assiettes vides pour nous amener la suite. Une attente interminable pour la prise de commande, les boissons arrivent alors que l'entré est terminé. Il y avait une table de 6 personnes a côté, on est rester plus de 1h30 a deux, eux était la avant nous et n'était qu'au plat. Le service de leurs table était aussi catastrophique.
