AVE Pizza Bar - Ménilmontant — Restaurant in Paris

I already know this place from their other venue on Rue de la Folie Méricourt. We were a table of four people. The staff is nice and welcoming. We got our starters quite quickly after we ordered: a burrata with minimal ground poutargue that was not noticeable, and a small focaccia too burnt on top. Either it was left in the oven too long or the oven was too hot. There was an uncomfortable burned smell in the restaurant for a while after this. It took them another hour to serve us our pizzas. The pizzas were good; their quality and taste were no different than the ones we already know. Overall, if the place only recently opened, they need to learn how to run it better. The pizza was absolutely amazing- the crust is thin but very flavorful and well cooked, the toppings were all so delicious, and my whole family enjoyed their meals. The staff was extremely accommodating and super nice- they let us switch a couple of ingredients out because of allergies and were very friendly. The drinks were also really good- I tried the Ave Gin and really liked it, and the aperol spritz was good as well. The pizzas were made right next to us on their oven and they were ready super fast. Now that is a cosy place. Warm, elegantly decorated with a superb drink fountain you’d want to see for yourself. Then you sit down and read the menu. And you’re then left with an impossible choice : good or better ? Cause every single entry seems delicious, especially considered everything comes directly from Italy and is of the best quality possible. Top of the class serving staff, kind, discreet and utterly professional.
