I don't normally give bad reviews but this one is really upsetting. This restaurant doesn't deserve my patronage nor my recommendations, even tho I love Pho and live just above it. I've eaten here twice; the second time, I was alone. The politeness and eagerness to serve seem to be reserved only for their Western customers. The difference in treatment between me (Asian) and the Western customers was striking. Unlike the solo Western diner beside me, I didn’t receive a “bon appétit,” nor was I asked, “c’est bien passé?” like the solo woman next to me and the group behind me.
Mind you, this was during a slow period. My salt request was forgotten that I had to come get it myself, and I didn’t even get a basic “au revoir” after paying like I heard them say countless times to other customers. There were other subtle, yet not so subtle, slights that aren’t worth mentioning—just like how this restaurant isn’t worth a third visit or any word-of-mouth promotion.
