Burger King — Restaurant in Perpignan

It may sound weird to praise a Burger joint and a fast-food one at that. After all, you don't have to be a genius to cook a burger. Right? Well, no actually. If you'd eaten in some of the burger restaurants I've been to in my home town of Aix-en-Provence, France and its surrounding area, you might think very differently indeed. I may be totally wrong in thinking that the good old burger cooked well on a clean grill is a treat for all meat lovers out there. Nothing fancy you know, a 100% beef muscle patty, fresh lettuce, thin slices of tomato, cucumber and the odd smidgen of ketchup, mayo... or barbecue sauce if that floats your boat. And yet most French restaurants insist on dousing it with weird, pink slimy marie rose looking sauce and such like. I've even been to a place where they threaten to put camembert cheese or blue cheese sauce on top of your perfect sandwich, should you lose your mind and decide to order such atrocities. I was therefore pleasantly surprised when I ordered a Double Whopper in Perpignan on the last day of the year (well it was New Year's Eve after all). The DW came out piping hot, perfectly cooked, with totally fresh ingredients and tasted 100% as it should. Not one fancy-schmancy addition in sight. Well done guys and thanks for that. Self service machine in French but easy to understand, put in the 3 code no, the number is found on the white plastic unit see photo number in red, to continue using the machine after you pick your products, the code number (order no) on your receipt will determine when your food is ready. I normally love burger king because of the onion rings , but this time they were soggy and old and reheated for everyone I was with . The burgers amazing though .
