A true French delicacy that everyone loves : "CRÊPES from "la Bretagne Region of France " My first visit at Mamie Bigoude just filled my eyes with admiration from the exquisite decor and the originality of the items use to decorate this restaurant, the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is absolutely dedicated to give you the best Lunch/dining experience. Emilie was the first employee I've met when I first discovered Mamie Bigoude, She was all smiles and so genuinely welcoming, She makes coming to Mamie Bigoude a fabulous time. She explained the history of the place and to make things even sweeter, she speaks English very well (even if she doesn't think so ) Emilie is one of the Managers and when she is not in the front, she is the kitchen cooking, both her and Lordan prepare each and every plate with love and care to ensure that you palet is delighted with the taste of each ingredients present in the crepe you order. Since my first visit only a few weeks ago, I have returned at least 3 or 4 times and tried various Crepes, Salty or Sweet, you will be enchanted by the quality of the preparation, the quantity in which the crepes are filled. The choice of fillings are so multiple that I suggest you take your time but every Crepes I tasted were Excellent, cooked to perfection (coulis artichokes with grilled chicken with a hint of goat cheese) Also the classic Ham & Cheese crepe. The sweet crepes are the Ultimate final for a good lunch, You can choose to make your own by choosing your topping (Nutella, Salted caramel, Honey, Apples baked and flambees at your table, and much more or simply a little sugar ) I guarantee your taste buds will be in heaven. During my other visits, I had the pleasure to meet the rest of the staff, Marina (also a mgr) who is a big ray of sunshine, no matter how busy she was , she took the time to ensure that each of her clients were satisfied and never stopped smiling, transcending Joy & Kindness. Theo, who even seems to be in the background, does a marvelous job in ensuring each table is ready for patrons and that he is on the top of what needs to be done to assist the server on duty . Finally Lilou who is a young bubbly, beautiful girl, learning the ropes of the restaurant industry but already demonstrates her eagerness to learn all there is to learn to be the best as she goes forward in her career. What made this even sweeter for my husband and I is that the CREPES are ALL Gluten Free making this restaurant an all year hangout for us. The manager was very friendly and greeted us warmly. We were sat at our table, given the menu and left alone to ponder it.
When the time came, the manager took our orders. I had a 3 fromage with added mushrooms and my boyfriend chose a Papi Bigoude.
We were informed that the cider on offer was a dry fruity Sorre which was absolutely delicious, as we're our 2 Kir, mine a Violette and my boyfriend's a Kir rosé pamplemousse.
Galettes arrived and they were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, well cooked and my cheese was melted to perfection.
We did have dessert of a crêpe miel, and I had a crêpe citron sucré.
