The hotel overlooks the river, and it's not far to walk into Pont Aven as parking in the town is up a fairly steep hill. Plenty of parking nearby (one free about a couple of minutes walk) and one free from 19.00 h to 10.00 h. Our room was on the first floor with access by lift. We had asked for a room with a terrace and although it was a shared one with the adjacent room we never saw anyone else. Our room was clean and had a very large comfortable bed, even thought we overlooked the restaurant and outside seating and of course there was passing traffic, but even though we had the windows open all night we didn't find it noisy. The staff were all very friendly and had a chat with the waitresses and the chef who is really passionate about his food. We ate in the restaurant on all 3 evenings and the food was exceptional, we love sea food which was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. Breakfast is continental - fruit , bread rolls, croissants, cheese, jam, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee or chocolate. They have a fish tank in the restaurant and you can choose your crab or lobster so you know it's fresh ( a bit off putting when you're sat there and they are looking down on you!) We would certainly recommend the hotel, and thinking about going back again for a short break sometime in the future. Don't think it is suitable for children as I'm not sure if all the rooms are for...

Read moreWe understood from our booking that we would initially be placed in one of the rooms on the 1st floor with a patio/balcony overlooking the river, but then would need to move after the first night into another room on the top floor. On arrival this arrangement was confirmed, but the receptionist said that the room for the 2nd night onwards would be much better! And so it proved to be. The larger and better room on the top floor was an excellent location for three nights, especially the view of the river and quayside in both directions. The top floor room was excellent value, very clean and tidy, just what we needed for a relaxed stay in Point Aven. We used the hotel restaurant on two of our nights here, which was of a really good standard with a great choice of fresh fish/crustaceans and meat dishes. The breakfasts, although of a simple European style were always fresh and enjoyable. Service for breakfast and evening meals was excellent and very friendly. We would recommend Hotel Les Mimosas as a good base for touring and sightseeing in the town and local area. Parking can be an issue in Pont Aven, but at the hotel end of town several free parking bays are available, especially in the evening for hotel guests. Many thanks to the...
