Filomena — Restaurant in Rambouillet

Not a ‘treat yourself’ place. Blah pizzas and service was pretty shoddy as the two waiters struggled. Understandable but still unpleasant.

We sat at a wobbly table outside, the waiter said he’d be back to try and stabilise it. He was not. I tried to remind him, he was not pleased at the reminder and still didn’t return.

I got the attention of his colleague who then ripped up a piece of paper, handed it to us and said, I’ll leave you to sort it out.. and headed off. Odd. I’m here to have dinner. Not fix tables.

I gave it a go and then went in to say it definitely wasn’t enough as the table was, unsurprisingly, still wobbly. It was pretty clear by then I’d become the “irritating” customer.

I pretty much told them I would be switching tables, ordered a prosecco, gritted my teeth and decided to just deal with whatever came next. Which was a soggy pizza and no prosecco. There were a few other baffling moments but you get the idea. The waiters did try to make up for it by politely asking us repeatedly whether we’d enjoyed our food. I appreciated the gesture but no, not really.

This is the most racist place in Montfort. I visit Montfort at least twice a year and have eaten at almost all the restaurants in this town. Today was the first time at this restaurant. Après plusieurs tentatives chez filomena je reste finalement sur le même avis pour chaque visite. Leur pizza sont certe très bonne, nous verrons si nous continuerons à prendre à emporter, mais ce lieu manque sérieusement d’amabilité. Découverte sans réserver il y a un an le serveur a l´epoque nous donnait un NON catégorique sans explication pour une table pour deux (sûrement terrasse réservée on a pensé). Plusieurs tentatives en vente à emporter avec le même ton pour le patron, n’arrivant pas à les joindre par téléphone (installer une messagerie peut être pour prévenir?) on se déplaçait et nous faisions renvoyer aussitôt chez nous. Hier ultime tentative nous avions réservé une table pour deux en terrasse, arrivés sur place la terrasse n’etait pas possible sans autre explication ni excuse par cette fois la serveuse (orage 3h plus tôt?), nous voilà entassés tables toutes serrées en intérieur loin des distanciations covid... les pizzas étaient bonnes mais toujours pas l’endroit pour passer un bon moment et être reçus avec gentillesse... Sens du service absent c’est dommage pour...
