Walking into Conques at the end of two weeks of hiking on the Chemin de Saint Jacques ended with a cheese platter and beers for me and my friend Becky. The cheeses on the platter were local and absolutely wonderful, especially the creamy and exquisite Roquefort. Two raw-milk tommes were also a treat. Plus, as the cherry on top of the cake, we got baby pigeons which got us fascinated and made us have the best time.
The pistachio ice cream is my recommendation.
It would help if you did not...
