Food: We had a salad, bruschetta, a lean steak with cheese and pesto on top, some tagliatelle and desserts. Salad was simple but the dressing amazing. Bruschetta on point. The meat was good and a combiantion with pesto and cheese on top I have never seen before. Only complain could be that it was too much food ;-). The tagliatelle and dessert were on point as well. In general a 4-5 star food experience.

Service: Since we usually show up early with kids, we were well attended to in the beginning. But through the end service was quick and even though in france, the alsace population tries to acccomodate us with speaking solid German as well.

Value: Not the cheapest place in the village. Food was worth it, right where it should be, not expensive nor cheap.

Family Viability: France in general is quite accomodating when it comes to children. And even after we were done and the kids started yelling and running around nobody flinched and they let them be, which is nice and was slightly relaxing for us.

Location: Simple, in the middle of the village, nothing to see from the outside or something standing out while being inside. Focus on the food.

Overall: Very solid, food focussed experience that leaves you satisfied in all regards.

Un cadre très agréable et des plats délicieux ! Nous sommes arrivés affamés un midi avec nos deux enfants de 2ans 1/2 et 6 ans :D Le serveur, très sympathique de plus, à tout de suite pensé à ramener un pot de crayons et des feuilles de brouillon aux enfants. Ce n’est pas partout et c’était très appréciable, nous avons pu attendre paisiblement notre repas :)

Place au repas : des ingrédients frais et des plats préparés sur place. Personnellement j’ai pris le cordon bleu qui est accompagné de frites faites maison et quelques légumes, il était délicieux ainsi que la sauce qui l’accompagnait et très bien présentée (comme on peut le voir sur la photo). Les enfants (à qui ont à pris un menu pour 2 car on sait qu’ils ne terminent jamais un plat entier chacun) c’était donc un rumsteck et une portion de frites (très raisonnable et le serveur nous a proposé de nous en apporter à nouveau) avec également des légumes. Ils ont très bien mangé également. Pour le dessert j’ai pris la crème brûlée qui était très bonne.

Si je devais donner un petit bémol c’était les frites un peu trop salées à notre goût, le mieux serait de laisser le client saler à sa guise je pense. Mais ce n’est qu’un léger détail qui ne nous a pas empêché de nous régaler ! Et puis nous n’avons pas pensé à faire la remarque au serveur mais je suis sure qu’il aurait proposé de rectifier cela :)

Pour conclure, une carte avec « peu » de choix qui est gage de produits frais et de qualité, et ça nous aimons beaucoup , de plus les prix ne sont pas excessifs du tout !

C’est une adresse assez éloignée de notre domicile mais nous y reviendrons avec plaisir lorsque nous serons dans le coin !

Wonderful food and service! (And with very approachable prices as well.) We ended up coming here three nights in a row, walking from Mittelbergheim to Barr - just to have our dinners here. The tarte flambée au Munster was really tasty, as was the carpaccio - and the other meat dishes we had. The wines were all super nice (and really good local wines!), and the desserts great too.
