LE GALTA — Restaurant in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne

This quickly became the favorite place for our group to stop by after a day of skiing because 1) they have happy hour and 2) their service is phenomenal. The manager accommodated us when we were late for lunch once (and other spots had stopped serving food), and also arranged for a quick dinner before our bus departed when we had to leave town--she was incredibly sweet and professional.

The place itself is spacious yet cozy, and clean. The tartiflette here was also the best I had in my trip! Their fondue is...

Great server, great food.

We came with a group of 16(!) and the serving was so quick, the server came back with all the drinks or the main dishes and she knew who ordered what, really impressive!

If you are looking for a nice place after a long day on the slopes go to reastaurant Galta.

As a sportsfan you can watch the main French sports without disturbing other guests. (no sound on the tv).
