Worst place ever. Entrée was fish it has fish bone. I didnt say anything. We kindly asked them to replace cutleries after the fish and the eggs because they got dirty, they started acting up and being rude. One of the staff decided to stop serving us so he gave all the orders to another waiter. Bread we were offered had one already opened whats worse is that it had butter inside. We still didn’t say anything. Cherry on top is that we ordered a dish based on its english translation, they gave us a totally different dish simply because the English and french translation didn’t match. Our dinner at LA Taverne in Saint Malo France was enjoyable. The food was ok for what it was. I wasn't thrilled with our group selection of pork and pâté, so I don't fault the restaurant for this at all. I barely ate anything. They were very accommodating for a large group. I am giving them five stars entirely based on their level of service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by every visible staff member. We ordered some oysters, a fish dish (catch of the day), and a charcuterie plate. The oysters were great, the other two were just okay. Service was sub-par - our hostess seemed disapproving of our choice to not get a drink or dessert. She also made it seem like we had to leave a tip on the top of the total but we later learnt that French law mandates including service charge and any tip on top is optional and dépendant on service (which was sub-par and not worthy).
