There were the absolutely rude waiters, they didn't listen, simply ran to the kitchen after hearing the first three words, and every time yet another waiter came and we had to explain everything again. The restaurant was half-empty, so they were not busy, but most of the time they hid in the kitchen. I the hotel they didn't warn that this restaurant doesn't have children menu, and they could only offer a sea-fruit. After lots of questions/answers back and forth, the waiter came and said that the chef can cook 'something' for our child but the waiter couldn't explain what it was. So, if you want to have dinner there with kids, strongly not recommended. Eventually we just left and went to a bistro in the same building, that one was amazing.
UPDATE: perhaps the restaurant hoped that I won't translate their reply, but I did. You just lied from start to end: 1. Chef never came over, there were three or four waiters who stopped at our table for three seconds and then ran away. 2. It was us to decide to leave your restaurant and not you offering us to go to bistro. 3. We reserved the restaurant at the hotel reception not at the restaurant itself. And last but not least: you lie that it was us to behave disrespectfully....
Read moreExtremely dissapointed and this for several reasons It was quite cold in the restaurant at night and some people had to keep their coat during the whole evening Waiters were unexperienced and not 'warm/chaleaureux' But the most dissapointing thing was that the meat (that was cooked for 36 hours) was extremely dry (it should melt in the mouth) and almost not eatable, and when we told the waitress about it in a very polite and gentle way, she just said 'okay' and we never saw her again. Not even a word like 'we're sorry' or 'we will talk about it with the chef'.... Quite unexeptable behaviour. In the end, we've paid too much for what we've eaten and the sevice that we've got. This doesn't deserve a one Michelin star but rather a one 'google review' star I see that there is a doubt on the authenticity of this review. We had dinner on 12/10/2021. Strange that you now reply that you would have turned up the heat and that you care, because when we told that some food was not ok, nobody cared, listened and responded. We were left literally and figuratively...
Read moreStopped here as part of a longer day trip due to the Michelin guide, and were thoroughly happy that we did so. We had the current lunch menu, and found everything to be interesting, delicious, perfectly balanced, and in many cases with some amount of delightful surprise.
I will call out one dish in particular - on the side of the grilled octopus entrée was a small piece of (I believe) Andouillé sausage. When I first tasted it, I was genuinely transported in my mind back to my grandmother's kitchen when I was a child, 100% Ratatouille/Anton Ego style. I disappeared for several seconds, in the best possible way. How they made that happen, I do not know, but I'm grateful that they did.
The service was lovely.
I honestly do not understand the one star reviews here. I wonder if it is some kind of expectations mismatch. They seem to me to be reviews more of the people themselves and their state if mind than of this restaurant. Maybe if you are a person who is grumpy and sour and doesn't like nice things, this is not the...
