La Petite Plage — Restaurant in Saint-Nazaire

Without a doubt, the best food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The quality of the the ingredients were simply amplified by the chefs ability to cook with them. The Tuna and the beef were beyond no doubt, the best we've ever eaten. That is taking into consideration at least 3 Michelin star restaurants as well. Do not think twice, if you're considering eating here, it's meant to be. We are English speaking and the manager and staff accommodated our little knowledge of French kindly. As soon as I set foot in the door it was just most enjoyable experience from start to finish. I hadn’t booked and the waitress showed me to a great table outside, the sun was just setting too. Service was excellent, staff very attentive, friendly and noticeable that they take pride in their job. Quality of the food matched the service, fish fresh and tasty and well prepared, there’s a few other things i would’ve loved to try on the menu but that’s for next time. It’s not often I give a 5 star review but this one well deserves it. Keep up...

Bonsoir, Nous avons réservé à 21:00 dans ce restaurant très bien placé à Pornichet, magnifiquement décoré, et à l'atmosphere agréable au soleil couchant.

Toutefois , Suite au premier contact avec le staff, il nous est intimé de commander dans les neuf minutes car la cuisine ferme à 21:30. (? Pourquoi accepter des réservations à 21:00 dans ce cas?)

La carte mentionne un poisson du marché qui s'avere etre finalement un simple Cabillaud. ( pas de Bar, pas de Dorade ? de Lotte ou de Saint pierre pour ce prix? - juste un Cabillaud? )

J'opte pour ma part pour un tartare de Thon (avec salade uniquement , ou bien portion très limitée de frites) L'association Thon / cacahuètes pilées préparée semble audacieuse et malheureusement pas vraiment appréciable.

Pour le dessert, (et pour ma part) un moelleux chocolat très minimaliste avec quelques millilitres de caramel associé de deux crottes de chantilly mal disposées qui ne se tenaient plus dans l'assiette. je préfère oublier le prix pratiqué pour ce dessert absolument pas convenable.

La note finale : les prix pratiqués sont absolument excessifs par rapport à la cuisine. L' endroit semble pourtant ideal pour une grande réussite comme je l'avais ressenti et mentionné l'année précédente; et évidemment uniquement si vous êtes bien accueillis. ( donc passez plutôt vers 19:00 pour diner comme nos bien-aimés touristes Britishs ou Allemands, pour ne pas trop déranger...
