Glouglou, Restaurant & Vins Pornichet — Restaurant in Saint-Nazaire

Great place to enjoy quality food and wine with family and friends. The owners and our server for the evening were sommeliers and shared their knowledge about Glouglou’s extensive and impressive wine list. The appetizers and main courses were very good.

Two panko crusted shrimp came out crispy and at a great temperature. The shrimp were so tasty by themselves. You had the option of complementing the shrimp with a herb / wasabi mayo.

The fresh pollock / coalfish sashimi was delicious. One of the owners delivered a spicy orange sauce with a flourish - pouring the sauce, which mixed with the bright green herb oil on the plate. Note: If your preference is to savor the raw fish flavor (traditional sashimi), then request the sauce/oil on the side.

The warm roasted tomatoes with ricotta and herbs were bursting with deep tomato flavor.

Sweet blue lobster meat on toasted bread was complemented with a crunchy and acidic vegetable slaw and buckwheat seeds. The owner added a dollop of creamy miso sauce. A spectacular bite.

The grilled beef kabob was cooked to a warm temperature with a sweet/salty glaze. Here the thin and crispy straw potato fries really shined.

Très bon dîner à 5, sur les recommandations d'un ami sommelier nantais. Situé un peu à l'écart du centre de Pornichet, dans une rue avec très peu de circulation, le Glouglou n'a rien de "tape à l'œil " mais ne vous y trompez pas, il vaut largement que l'on s'y attable et qu'on s'y attarde. Accueil très chaleureux, assis confortablement, l'ambiance est cosy et on s'y sent bien. Sur les conseils d'une sommelière très pointue ( connaissant sans nul doute les quelques 500 vins proposés) et sachant analyser notre groupe, nous avons opté pour un blanc d'Anjou excellent qui a très bien accompagné le repas. Les assiettes sont prévues pour 2 à partager, il n'y en a ni trop ni trop peu. Nous avons pu déguster les œufs mayo glouglou, l' humous, les crevettes, le thon, la seiche, le porc et en dessert le tiramisu café et la panna cotta fraise. Nous nous sommes régalés, tout était délicieux, les produits sont frais et ça se sent, chaque plat est assaisonné avec soin, c'est un vrai bonheur de pouvoir goûter à tout et varier les saveurs.Il n'y a vraiment rien à redire, bravo à l'équipe en cuisine. Nous ne pouvobs que recommander chaudement le Glouglou et nous reviendrons...

Excellent bistronomique new restaurant in the heart of Pornichet! We appreciated the passion and knowledge on their extensive wine selection and the food was spot on at every level, we tried, shared and loved the whole menu.
