I’ve wanted to visit for a long time as the reviews are amazing, but sadly it was really not what I hoped. The food was just ok, my steak was sadly overcooked, I didn’t say anything as I didn’t want to complain but noticed another guest have the same experience, and she sent hers back, so I realised it wasn’t just mine that was overdone. Service was very slow, we waited a long time between courses and although we would have liked to order a second drink during our meal, so we asked for the drinks menu and then after an hour nobody had taken our drinks order so the waitress took the menu away again without taking our order. By that point we’d waited so long we didn’t bother trying to get her attention again. Other diners were waiting for an hour to have their orders taken so I guess we were lucky to get our food. It was pretty busy so understandable but if I could leave feedback I’d advise that the waiting staff pay a little more attention to the guests as we felt a little neglected. It’s a beautiful restaurant, we were nicely welcomed at the start and the staff were very friendly but clearly a little overworked. I don’t think I’d go back. I’d recommend serving a little bit of salad with the steaks as they could have done with something fresh and healthy feeling alongside, and changing up the music as it felt like I was in a TikTok soundtrack! Overall, a very good restaurant! The ambience is very nice and the staff throughout very friendly and attentive. We had a 3-course set dinner: vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Both very nice although the aubergine chunks in the veggie starter too large and undercooked (works well for most vegetable but not aubergines…). The fois gras was perfect. The noodles in the veggie mains slightly too salty and the sauce of the duck too overpowering. The fruit salad was nice but maybe a bit simple and could have done with something to mix it up such as some dark chocolate bits or mint leaves although the ice cream was great. Upon arrival at "La Maison", one feels impressed with the front facades. Once inside, a tastefully decorated and organized area revolves around the magestic marble bar. The weather enabled us to have lunch on one of two private gardens outdoors. The main terrace is not overcrowded and is spacious. Two recently installed secular olive trees border one side of it.
