Il Capriccio — Restaurant in Sarcelles

Authentic and delicious Italian cuisine at a fair price! I was very surprised to find such authentic Italian cuisine in the Parisian suburb. It's honestly a breath of fresh air. Portion sizes vary a bit depending on the dish (the tuna is much larger than the bass, for example) but it's always filling. I was going to leave the best for last, but I'm not sure if that would be the pizzas or the desert. The signature pizza ("Il capriccio") is delightful and had me going back for more. The desert (I've stuck to authentic Italian desserts until now) are just mouth watering! It's also worth mentioning the service. For me it strikes that perfect balance: the waiters and waitresses are always around and available should you need them, but they are never in your face and will let you enjoy your meal in peace. We have been ordering take away at this restaurant for more than 4 years. Initially it was a gem find for this area. But slowly the quality deteriorated.

Usually Truffle pasta and pizza is a good one but the tastes differs with each take away and its fine. But the pesto gnocchi turned out to be horrible for us last week. Though the toppings like Parmesan is missing which is fine the sauce was very much bitter. Unfortunately we couldn’t eat it..

Service was kind and when we informed them about it they told us they will replace it. But we couldn’t travel 3km...

Cela fait une bonne moyenne à 2.5. Bref je m'explique :

J'ai du commander dans ce restaurant 4 ou 5 fois et toujours à emporter et ça ne risque pas de changer. Leur pizzas, pâtes sont excellentes, sûrement le meilleur restaurant italien du Val-d'Oise. Mais que dire du service.. Au téléphone toujours agréable et poli pour pendre la commande mais quand on vient chercher nos pizzas...

C'est à peine si on reste pas 5 à 10 minutes à l'entrée avec 2 ou 3 personnes du restaurant qui passent devant nous sans nous adresser la parole, avant qu'une âme charitable le fasse. Bon pas forcément très souriante hein on va pas en demander de trop.. Je trouve même globalement le personnel assez antipathiques. Sourire, à un client de surcroît, n'est pas très difficile et je pense important quand on travaille dans un commerce.

Ajoutez à ça, à ma dernière visite, la machine à CB qui ne fonctionne pas. Vous croyez qu'on me l'aurait dit au telephone? Allez courir retirer du liquide dans l'urgence n'est pas forcément agréable.

Bref ce sont des petits détails à chaque fois mais je trouve des détails importants et puis mis bout à bout...

C'est ce qui fait la différence, je pense, entre un bon et un très bon restaurant.

Bref je ne viendrai sûrement jamais dîner sur place pour ces raison là mais je changerai volontier d'avis et de note (dans le bon sens) si jamais je vois une amélioration.
