Here is our story happened on the 26th July 2020! We started to book a table by phone for 7 pm and we were told once we reached there that they actually open at 7.30 pm. A waitress welcomed us very coldly (no smile, she did not open the door and did not provide help for us as we had a stroller with 2 months old baby inside). By the way, she was the one also who told us that they open at 7.30 pm and we told her that we've called and they did not tell us so. But still, we said it was okay and we were not in rush. We could wait... Helloooo... We are on holiday. So 7.30 will do for us too. 😊😊😊
Long story short, We did order one orange juice for our 10 years old daughter and the waitress brought it on the table without any single word, did not open the bottle, with a very cold face and attitude and she returned inside the building (we were placed in exterior)
My daughter and I were looking at each other shockingly. Just unbelievably rude attitude for such a restaurant written MICHELIN outside their building (don't worry this is not the first Michelin restaurant we have tried 😂) . Well... The accumulated events made us a call that we should better leave. 😊 I lost my appetite totally 😂 So we were all ready to go outside and left. My husband met the owner and told her what has just happened. We said we would like to just pay for the orange juice and left (again... I guess the holiday vibes still managed to make us stay calm 😘) The owner proposed us to give it for free (even though she was not so nice on how she talked to us) which we accepted although we decided already to leave the restaurant. We went to the parking and I started to put my baby on his seat and folding the stroller.
And the story just began 😂😂😂 Four people came out to the parking area. The boss lady, the chef, the waitress and one other guy. They came out to confront us with the waitress who claimed that she did not open the bottle because my daughter asked her to do so and she smiled and was nice to us! Seriously??? Four adults came out from the restaurant to tell us so? Oh yes, I think this time they touched our nerves because for me as a mum and my husband as a father, we see that as a real sensitive thing which pointed my daughter as a liar???? We asked our daughter in front of them. She said NO. Of course no! I was on the table as well when it all happened. How dare they treat people like that? A kid won't lie. Such an embarrassing attitude from them!
They were arguing with us. I questioned myself, was it because she regretted to not make us pay the orange juice or what? 😂 We were really okayyyyy to leave peacefully. BY THE WAY, THE WAITRESS AND ALL OF THEM, NO ONE HAS PUT A MASK ON!!!! WE ENTERED THE RESTAURANT WITH A MASK AND THEM? EVEN THE WAITRESS FROM BEGINNING, NOT AT ALL. They did not even fulfill the regulations standard. 😊
Oh come on... There are many restaurants can compete on tastes of the food. But Attitude and service quality must always be a priority. You can read all the comments from other people and see how they answered them too, you can see how proud and rude they are when their comments don't meet their expectations 😂 (I shall expect that they reply to this one harshly though)
This one is a real unforgettable experience 😂. I ensure you this one is the first time happened in our life and I hope the last time. 😅
So people... Choose wisely your restaurant. Taste can be bought but attitude can define the feeling of...
Read moreThe food at Plaisir des Sens was obviously delicious as expected, however personally I don’t think it was anything special. Especially with the nut/peanut allergy that one of us had, there were no alternatives for the meal, they just removed the part of the meal that included nuts, which in case of the dessert it was removing the main part of the dessert, which was crumble, and serving just fruits. We also arrived there very excited to try snails, but unfortunately snails contained nuts in them, so my friend couldn’t have them at all and was served a salad with beans instead. That was a not satisfactory alternative at all. For the main we were supposed to have pork as the menu said, unfortunately the waiter said they ran out of pork and we had some white meat instead. What we loved was the choice of different kinds of regional cheese served on a board, where you could choose 5 that you wanted. We also had a very nice waiter that gave us a good description of every cheese and also recommended us a very delicious one.
All in all, food was ok, pretty disappointing as for the prices and Michelin recommendation, And most importantly - do not recommend for people...
Read moreA great gourmet Restautant, combining classic with innovative touches - not to be missed! The staff is very helpful and welcoming, and of course professional. We had two menus - the Gourmet Menu and the Pleasure Menu. The highlights were the 2 foie gras dishes: the Grated duck foie gras was exceptional and unique, and the Pan-fried Périgord duck foie gras was also very very good. The other courses were just as good, and we didn't leave a single crumb or a drop on our plates. The pricing is very reasonable for this level of cooking. A Michelin star is certainly due. A good word goes to Lydie, the hostess and sommelier, who was very friendly and helpful, even though it was a busy evening. I wish more hostesses in French restaurants will be just as...
