Outstanding food! Agree with the other reviewers, has to be one of the best meals I’ve had in France! I had the smoked trout salad and my husband had a “Tartine” with cheese and ham, that came with a small side salad. We shared the dessert, “La Framboisier”, a layered, light pastry concoction that was unique and simply delicious. I loved the portions…not too much…just enough. Locally sourced products. Go! We stayed in this small village we knew nothing about. We found this place by chance. What a place. Simple but elegant and sort of romantic. Good views, on the shade of the clifts which is good considering the heat of the summer. Best paté I have ever eaten (local,you can buy it in town) together with an excellent selection of cheese and very good gazpacho (I'm Spanish, trust me :) ). Good crafted beer, local wine and amazing desserts. The waiters were nice, polite and spoke English. I will come here...

I think this is a great change for the Dordogne. Not the traditional duck recepies. This place is also something you could find in a City like Paris or Amsterdam. Locals would go here to have a great wine and some nice dishes. The cheese and sausages were very tasteful.
Also the staff was really nice. Our French is not so well, although we still tried.. The staff member repeated our question in French, then sometimes asked in English to confirm. This gives us the ability to learn. Don't expect you get 5...
