Restaurant Le Cabanon bleu — Restaurant in Sartène

Very nice place, with a magnificent view of the beach. However, the extremely high prices asked (29€ for an octopus salad, as a starter…) directly creates expectations about the quality of the service and most importantly, the food. The waiter we where assigned to wasn't that competent (didn’t know where the fish came from...and I mean… you are in front of the sea…), and the quality of the food was average. The vibe here resembles the one of an “instragamable” Parisian bistro, where you care more about the beauty of the place (and being seen eating here) than the quality of the food or of the service. Thus, a “good” place, hence the 3 stars. Nevertheless, a place that could be much more if it focused on the essentials, rather than on the Instagram...

MAKE A FRIEND FIRST and you’ll have an awesome time.

The location is amazing, sitting right on one of the most iconic beaches in the world. The food is really fantastic in taste and presentation, along with a great vibe of the restaurant.

The place is busy, so it’s not easy to get a table - as a first time customer - and that’s THE KEY. The staff is super friendly, helpful and accommodating, once you get to know them. Our first time was a bit rough around the edges. After that it was smooth sailing onwards. As strange as it sounds as a guest, try to get over the first bumps and you’ll get rewarded.

Great atmosphere and view, nice access to the beach! Unfortunately the dishes aren't that clean, meaning sometimes you should not be surprised if your glass is dirty. Although the service is quite friendly, the prices are a little bit overrated. Le Cabanon Bleu is a very nie place to have breakfast. However, offering more than just two options (Croissant / Pain au chocolat) like sandwiches or French "tartines" (bread with confiture) would be more attractive. Moreover, I personally do not appreciate crawfishes being hold in a little aquarium, but everyone can build his own opinion. All in all, a great place but do not have too high...
