Pourtalès Plage — Restaurant in Strasbourg

Loved this place! Stayed in Chateau and came for drinks. Food: ordered a burger. I loved the beef patty it had nice flavor. The portion is huge, so if you are hungry it's for you. Drinks: finally found my favorite 1664 Blanc! Atmosphere: cozy, calm, peaceful! It was a beautiful finishing of the day. It seems like a popular place because there were many visitors. Service: very friendly and kind personnel. Especially the barman/administrator (as we picked up)! Very friendly, nice and loved his jokes!

P.S.: don't understand the complaints in reviews. The service may take some time and orders can be delayed, but that's not because of personal attitude of the staff, rather because of huge amount of orders and limited staff. Yet, we were...

Although the venue must be one of the most amazing in Strasbourg better be ready to have a plan B for food and drink as servers simply cannot cope with orders and the management doesn’t seem to care! Quite a waste of mega potential!!! I feel pity for the servers who do their best but are clearly overwhelmed as they are untrained and massively...

Catastrophe, pire expérience de restauration de ma vie. Service totalement amateur, totale désorganisation, perle sur perle ("on ne sert plus personne pendant 15 minutes à cause du groupe au fond, mais si vous avez soif on vous amène une carafe d'eau"), les serveurs sont dépassés et en même temps restent plantés devant le bar a rien faire, les gérants leur crient dessus devant tous les clients. Quand ils viennent enfin vous prendre la commande après 1h30 et 3 rappels, ils se trompent plusieurs fois dans les plats qui arrivent. Un serveur se permet d'être en plus désagréable et agressif quand on lui fait remarquer les erreurs de commande ("oh c'est bon parlez doucement !" avec un geste de la main pour nous faire taire). Plusieurs tables autour de nous sont parties au bout d'une heure faute de recevoir leur commande, et d'autres sont partis sans payer et ils ne le remarquent même pas. Cela dit c'est un bon plan pour manger gratuit, vu le niveau ! Incroyable, du jamais vu...
