One Star – A Beautiful Spot Wasted on Poor Quality Food

We went for dinner at La Cabane in Le Lavandou because of its nice appearance and promising Google reviews. Unfortunately, the experience was a TOTAL disappointment.

The food was clearly made from frozen ingredients — nothing tasted fresh except perhaps the side salad.

Dishes were overly salty, poorly prepared, and completely lacked care or quality. It felt like a business model built around cutting corners: serve as much as possible using the cheapest products, regardless of the result. For the price paid, it's a complete rip-off.

The only good thing they offer? The waiters were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience slightly less frustrating. But even good service can’t make up for food this bad.

It’s a real shame for such a lovely location. Definitely won’t be going back — and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values fresh, well-made...

Food wasn't bad but the waitress and the service was horrible. We order fries with our calamari and not only we had to remind them 4 times about the fries, the 5th time I went to the kitchen and the chef told me that they forgot and that is gonna take another 10-15 minutes to prepare. We waited more than half an hour just for a side dish that never came anyway. In the end they still had the nerve to put the fries in the check. So yea, horrible experience and service. We ate the calamari as they were (i d rate them 3/5). If you are around and want to eat something i'd suggest looking for...

La cabane que dire par où commencer ?? Nous sommes passés déjeuner en famille 2 adultes 2 enfants.Depuis 5 ou 6 ans, nous visitons votre jolie région et donc nous en avons vu des restaurants... je dois dire que là cet établissement est loin au-dessus de ce que avons pu voir et découvrir. Un personnel fantastique ,souriant accueillant avec plein d'attention, une cuisine variée bien préparée et présentée il y a en a pour tous les goûts un grand chapeau au chef vraiment. J'ai particulièrement apprécié que vous travaillez avec des produits régionaux et faire aussi découvrir le travail de ces artisans locaux, de part votre qualité de prestations vous leur fait un superbe pub donc service gagnant Bravo.... Une ambiance chaleureuse sur un fond de musique vous pouvez aussi déguster des pizzas au feu de bois a tomber, vous pouvez les commander à emporter pour les partager en famille au retour de la plage a des tarifs vraiment raisonnables tout comme la partie restaurant, je rejoins certains commentaires le tourisme n'est pas pris pour des américains j'avoue. J'ai fait découvrir votre établissement à de la famille qui vit dans la région ils ont été ravis et prêts à revenir alors qu'ils habitent à 1h30 d'ici...

Pour information je suis professionnel dans la maintenance en restauration cuisine et cantine industrielle et professionnelle, pour dire j'en vois des restaurants😂
