Assemblage Cave et Fourneaux — Restaurant in Tournon-sur-Rhône

Had lunch here today with entire and plat. Wonderful food! Amuse bouche was sardine over some buttered vegetables. Had saucisson en croute, cod brandade, veal tongue and pate for entrees, all excellent. Plats were gnocchi, macquerel, duck confit again all excellent and nicely presented. Had white wine by the carafe and an excellent bottle of St Joseph Syrah from their extensive wine list. The decor is not fancy but the napkins were cloth - not normal in our experience - and the service was efficient and friendly and in enough English to understand. Too full for dessert but ended with espresso. Overall our best meal this month...

We really love the soft hip vibe, Tasty well prepared dishes, Fantastic friendly service along with a very well built wine list that you can observe aging in their semi-underground wine cellar from the dining room. If you happen to be here on Saturday, don’t miss the mussels, cooked and served outside on the sidewalk, Always a fun time at this dog friendly place. 2018 Stayed in Touron for 4 nights, found this place on our first night and went back for Saturday lunch of Mussels and Duck Confit. Such a delightful evening! We had a great night on their cozy terrace in the back. The service is super friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious- cooked to perfection, well balanced, creative. Their wine selection is exceptional even in comparison to most other restaurants in such a ‘haut-lieu’ of the global wine map, and provides a focus on local, biodynamic and natural wines!
