Au coin gourmand — Restaurant in Tours

Most amazing french with a fusion of Chinese flavours. Had a three course set menu for 25 euro. The starter of smoked salmon, mains was tender beef slices and dessert was matcha creme brulé. Being Chinese myself the Asian flavours really were perfect for my palate. From the salmon dressing that reminded me of sushi, salad garnish that shouted out stir-fry vegetables to the marinade for the beef garnished with sorting onions. An unassuming entrance (somwhat cafe like) opened to give a delightful meal.

Beautifully tasty food, well presented.

We shared gyoza,, delicious ! Then both had Tatiki du rumsteak, it was superb. (The mixture of soy spring onion and ginger together with very tender beef was a delight.). We were on unchartered ground and had it with frites, which were very good but with hindsight riz would have been even better. Chocolate mousse (not too sweet) to finish

Tout le charme d’un restaurant de quartier : Côté cuisine : — Cuisine gastronomique : carte régulièrement renouvellée et plats du jour au diapason du climat, des saisons et des arrivages ; — Plats élaborés avec goût et sans sophistication inutile ; — Portions généreuses et présentation des assiettes soignée ; — Un chef accommodant et particulièrement efficace ;

Côté service : — Accueil chaleureux et affable : bonne humeur au menu ; — L’atmosphère conviviale et feutrée (lumières tamisées, aquarium, musique jazz) met en appétit ; — Service attentionné et diligent (10 à 15 min en moyenne) ; — Tarifs abordables voire bon marché ;

Seul regret : ne dispose pas de terrasse, hélas. Suggestion : il serait peut-être préférable de traiter les commandes à emporter (uber, deliveroo etc.) dans la salle du bas ou au dehors, pour le confort des clients et maintenir le standing de l’établissement. Le va-et-viens de livreurs ternit quelque peu le charme des lieux.
