Can't comprehend some of the lower reviews as we were blown away by fantastic, attentive, knowledgeable service (thx for speaking English!), delicious food and huge portions. Our servers food and wine recommendations were perfect as was the octopus starter (large enough to share or have as amain dish) and the most amazing deviled eggs Benedict style also served on a homemade Caesar dressing green salad (also large enough to share). My ribs were melt in your mouth tender as I cut the meet from the bone with just a fork. The sauce they were braised in was incredible...I'm guessing is was a reduction of miraproix and veal stock that tasted like it's simmered for days before becoming the braising base for the ribs! I make great ribs that people love--now I'm going to change up my crowd favorite! Wifey had the salmon, that she loved; again potions were very large! Restaurant was packed with locals on a Monday night which speaks volumes!!! Highly...
Read moreThis was about as average as it gets. Two charming waiters who did their best and looked after us well. But they had no product to sell, the food was dreadful. The entrecôte and chips were fine, but not much could go wrong with that, and the salmon fillet was unseasoned and flaccid. The accompanying sauce was supposed to be Vierge but had no bite or flavour. And the carrots were overcooked and, again, mush. Awful cooking, lazy and badly executed, absolutely unfair on your waiting staff to ask them...
Read moreOn one hand, food is nothing to right home about. We ordered the burrata as a starter to share (turns out it was a sort of burrata mousse?) and the full chicken which unfortunately was not warm enough (meat lukewarm and the stuffing was straight out cold). The staff was prompt to rectify by warming up the meat again but didn't bring us the stuffing back. When in the right temperature, the chicken was excellent. The profiterole was unfortunately too cooked, almonds too toasted and choux hard to cut at places. On the other hand, the staff was lovely, happy to help when choosing wine and generally very reactive. The place itself is cute and has a little terrasse. The decor is fairly authentic. Shame the food turned out the way it did, as all the rest...
